i would like to think that good sex is natural because I want to promote that sex should be with out the confines of society. But… why should sex be different from anything else? If ‘good’ sex is your normal experience, good for you, but I think you are one of the lucky ones. Perhaps like food,you now the vaule of combining the right ingredients and taking time, but alot of people don’t.

hmm, just wandered back and great to see another post. this time i agree with you. its like anything–practice makes perfect. i guess it helps to have some good advice and a good recipe. keep writing the recipes & ill come back.

We could get into a discussion about what “natural” really means. Do we live in a natural state? Cro-Magnon man (whoops! sorry, Cro-Magnon woman) certainly did. Did a young cave girl and boy, deeply in love, wander off to an idyllic hot pool and indulge in hours of pampering and exquisite lovemaking. I don’t think so. The sabre-tooth tiger factor would have been a bit inhibiting. Natural sex was probably communal, rushed and somewhat sweaty. It’s only in the last few thousand years that we have had the leisure and safety to experiment and evolve this art. So I agree with Jacqueline, great sex is not natural; it is a product of civilization.

I think you’re great but I think you are wrong! Good sex is natural but it’s become a rare thing rather like a hand written thank you note. How? By the speed we live, the unrealistic hollywood inspired air brushed expectations we harbour, the reluctance to make time, to take care, to bother; enter the contemporary lack of confidence and barrage on self-esteem, and the number of distractions! Good sex is natural but a prevailing modern urban existence has rendered great sex a dying art. Let’s think of the Slow Food movement; get rid of the pre-packaged and get back to basics. When sex was/is savoured and we use all our senses that’s when we remember that food and sex - good and great - are totally natural! You don’t need to do anything to a tomato that has ripened naturally under the warmth of the sun.
